WHAT IS GAME TIME PERFORMANCE?

Game Time Performance is our athletic development branch of the business, providing sport-specific strength and conditioning to athletes of all levels. We look after both their gym training, conditioning and rehabilitation, all under one roof. 


 

FIRST, WE MEASURE

We have developed a comprehensive testing battery that encompasses traits important for athletic performance such as proper movement patterns, limb capacity, strength and power. We use a brief movement screen that allows us to identify competency in our main movement patterns as well as any deficits to address in our programming. Our capacity tests look at your ability to perform many repetitions of a body weight movement which we can compare left to right to address any major differences as well as use as a baseline to get back to if injuries occur. The strength component utilises multiple pieces of VALD sport tech equipment allowing us to get valid and reliable data looking at many key factors such as max force generated, right vs left and how quickly you generate force (rate of force development). Finally, we use VALD ForceDecks to assess multiple components of our power with different tests such as our countermovement jump.

Our programs have two main goals.

 

First, we want to increase performance by increasing athletic traits such as strength, power, speed, endurance. Second, we want to build resilient athletes by targeting commonly injured areas in each sport or individual previous injuries. Keeping you on the field/court/etc. in the best physical shape possible are our main priorities. We target our main athletic traits in programming first while taking into account the sport you play. We then further individualise based on your testing results, goals, training history and injury history to make sure the program gets you to where you want to go.​

THEN WE TRAIN

Through our athlete support plans, athletes have access to semi-private performance sessions throughout the week. These sessions enable athletes of different sports and levels to train together,  following their own individualised program, under the watchful eye of our expert strength & conditioning coaches.  Every 6 weeks, athletes undergo a series of performance tests to measure improvements and direct future programming. 

 

No matter your ability, training history and goals, our programs cater for each athlete to ensure they maximise their time here at Game Time.​ No matter the athlete's age, experience or goals, our programs are tailored to the unique athlete, ensuring maximal improvements and safety during their time within our facility.
