Do you have a positive persona that makes patients look forward to

Do you want to make real, meaningful impacts on your patient’s lives?

Is your current workplace helping facilitate you to reach your career goals,

or are you just a source of revenue for them?

Do you pride yourself in finding the true cause of a patient’s pain and not

just alleviating symptoms momentarily? Are you able to communicate

with patients in such a way that they learn what is exactly required to get

them back to their best?

Are you able to connect and engage with people on a personal level

(not just clinical skill level)?

We are a Physiotherapy clinic in Morningside, Brisbane, that is experiencing rapid growth. We opened in November 2016, practicing out of a 2.5m by 1.5m room above a gym, working only part-time. Since then, we have grown from 1 to 8 team members, working across 2 clinics in the Brisbane area. Due to our overwhelming success, we opened a new 280m2 facility on June 10th, boasting 7 treatment rooms, a Pilates/ yoga area and a full functional training and rehabilitation gym.

Ask any one of our patients and you will discover that we have an incredible reputation within the community, with the majority of our referrals coming directly by word of mouth.

We are looking for a talented physiotherapist to work part-time initially, transitioning to full-time over the next quarter. Commencement of the role will be mid-late January. Graduates are welcome to apply. Your caseload will be mostly musculoskeletal and sports injuries, with opportunities to take rehab, mobility, strength and conditioning and Pilates-style classes on-site.

Now that our team is growing, we have placed a focus on external marketing to ensure you have an abundance of great people ready and waiting for you to serve to the best of your ability.

We believe whole-heartedly in education, and provide an immense amount of training, teaching and coaching. You’ll work with a diverse team (physiotherapists, myotherapists, dieticians and exercise physiologists): as well as hiring people locally, we’ve got people from all parts of Australia and from overseas, thereby giving you the opportunity to form new friendships and connections.

Demand for this role is always high, and we invite you to apply if you feel confident and able to achieve the tasks and responsibilities listed below.

We know that real A Players love to be held accountable for high standards of performance, which means you’ll be given your own key objectives and outcomes. When they are consistently met, you’ll experience substantial benefits and privileges.

Tasks: Outside of striving to be the best therapist you can be!

  • Communicate with patients in a way that they can confidently make the right decision about the plan of care you suggest.

  • Ensure that patients achieve their clinical and health/lifestyle outcomes (in the time frame you set).

  • Develop a mutually beneficial relationship that benefits both the patient and the clinic.

  • Communicate the value of our service with the fee/price that the patient will need to pay to access it.

  • Ensure that patients remain excited about the prospect of coming for physiotherapy (and remain committed to the treatment plan that you suggest).

  • Provide a high level of customer care that will cause patients to want to come back frequently and tell their friends and family about us as well.

  • Ensure that patients agree to a plan of care that will help them hit their health goals.

  • Ensure that patients complete a full plan of care (as agreed in the first session).

  • Ensure that clinical notes are kept up-to-date and accurate.

  • Participate in, contribute to, and help to develop the in-house educational training program that is provided to all physiotherapists.

Skills Needed: experience in this exact role is not required.

  • Be able to communicate with patients in such a way that they can understand why the suggested plan of care is the best solution to solve their problem, and say yes to your proposed treatment plan.

  • Be able to self-critique and analyse your own practice, generating ideas and things to work on without formal prompting.

  • Communicate with patients in a way that they can see value in the plan of care being put to them – in exchange for their time and money.

  • Willing and able to spot when a patient may be disillusioned or confused with their progress.

  • To be able to engage with and connect with patients at a personal level that goes way beyond a clinical outcome.
