WHAT IS IT?

Clinical Myotherapy assist’s recovery, training and performance in high level athletes to your weekend warriors. Clinical Myotherapy is the stepping stone between remedial massage and physiotherapy. We take clients and help educate them on the importance of prevention, mobility and recovery to help keep them out of the physio and staying on the field/gym longer.

WHAT DOES A CONSULT LOOK LIKE?

  1. Assessment; where we discuss what your symptoms/injury is like, how it occurred. Life style factors, training loads, significant changes, goals

  2. Education; what recovery actually looks like, what rehabilitation looks like, movement modification, why pain isn’t a bad a thing.

  3. Treatment; variety of hands on treatment techniques, strapping/taping if required

  4. CREATE THE GAME PLAN – How we’re going to get you back on track and doing more of what you love and keeping you pain free.

  5. Exercise Prescription; corrective exercises, movement modifications, adjustment of training load (not stopping) etc

  6. Referral: If required, referred to one of our physiotherapists.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

  1. Maintenance – Keeps you on track with training and work loads. Keeps any chronic conditions from flaring up or reducing the intensity of flare ups.

  2. Prevention – Stops niggles from becoming injuries.

  3. Performance – Enhances recovery for performance based activities so that you can train harder and longer injury free

  4. Recovery – Recovery pre and post competition, improve de load and muscle recovery.

  • Massage (Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Sports Recovery, Remedial, Myofascial Release, Gua Sha )

  • Dry Needling – Electro Dry Needling

  • Cupping (Myofascial Cupping)

  • Corrective Exercises

  • Taping – K Tape, Rigid Taping

PLANS AVAILABLE

  • Weekly –  For those who don’t have the time to make their recovery or mobility a priority. We make it one for you. Its also a great addition to the professional athletes and those with intense training requirements.

  • 2/12 (fortnightly) – For those who are a bit more serious about their goals and training needs or just have a very a physically demanding job. This plan helps keep you on track and on top of goals helping balance the work, life and training requirements.

  • 1/12 (monthly) – The maintenance and prevention plan which is designed to help catch niggles before they become and a problem and give your body a regular tune up and once over to keep you at your best.
